In Rainbows 04.24.2008
I just have to put it out there that Radiohead's performance on tv tonight was magical. That's why I'm putting their SELF-RELEASED album, In Rainbows, as my Current Favorite.
Once Radiohead finished their contract with Capitol Records (Nat King Cole, Coldplay, The Beatles, Frant Sinatra - to name a few) they headed out on their own. The much anticipated released was recorded at the expense of the band in their studio in London. For the first time in history they released the album on www.radiohead.com for a Name Your Price download. You could put as many dollars in the box as you liked, then the download would begin. If you put more than zero it would take you to the credit card screen. Out of pure admiration I payed $14.
