Alternate Post Title: I am writing on the blog for all to see; won't my husband be so proud of me...
Tyler has been hassling me to write something on the website for months now, so I guess I will give into the pressure and post something.
In truth, there is a valid reason for never writing on the website. It's like my dear friend, Julie Foreman, says, "I don't have anything to say!" I would agree wholeheartedly, Julie. While I enjoy the pscho-analytical, depth-searching, heart-wrenching writings about other people's lives; I do not quite enjoy hashing out my own. I dare say that many would enjoy reading it either:) Which brings me to my second reason for not blogging(and I shared this with Tyler yesterday, so don't worry that I am hurting his feelings).
People that blog like to hear themselves talk. There it is. I truly believe this! While I know there are exceptions to the rule, for the most part this is true. On the other hand people that like to communicate through this phenomenon called blogging, are usually pretty interesting people. While they like to hear themselves talk, people also like to hear it!
So here I am with nothing to say. I abhor staging a discussion on a subject and then analyzing it to find out if I am right or not. I generally lead a pretty uninteresting life. Here I am, and I am going to write on our blog...

ok, so this is from one non-blogger to another! i totally understand what you are saying! now i don't think you or i am uninteresting, but i really (sorry friends) don't want to share my deep thoughts with everybody all at once. it makes me feel like i am on stage in front of a huge audience. so when i have something to say to a group of people, i resort to the old school way-mass email. and i really don't like that! i would rather meet you for coffee and discuss it personally. :) i know that isn't possible with everyone since we are spread all across the world. i do, however, enjoy other people's blogs, as you do. i also like to comment on them. so i am with you, sister. i think this was a good blog entry for you to make. and even though you didn't think so, you have started a discussion on whether you are right or wrong!

We started a new site recently. Our main purpose is just to have something that will help us keep track of the things that we do. If we keep it up, I think it will be fun to look back in a few years at all the activities as well as the changes that have occurred.
I had a hard time convincing Kelly to do it, but things have changed since we moved to Chicago. She always thought blogging was for self absorbed people, but then realized that it's a good way to keep track of everything. Now she meticulously ensures that all the details correct and the photos in the right order.
I think you should write more, at least occasionally. We'll understand that you don't like to hear yourself talk and feel extra blessed while reading. The people that love you will appreciate it. It doesn't have to be deep thoughts or ponderings.
